AMAIZE® MAGEU is a product developed by Powerforce Products® and is supplied as a powder mix containing all the ingredients necessary to make an appetising, instant, high energy and vitamin enriched mageu once it is mixed with cold water.

AMAIZE® MAGEU tastes like traditional Mageu and is a convenient, tasty meal replacement or trendy ‘snack on the go.’ providing nutrition and energy throughout the day. Traditional Mageu is a non-alcoholic and maize-based drink with a sour taste and is a very popular drink in South Africa, especially among traditional groups, who also call it maxau, maHewu, amaRhewu, or amaHewu. It is widely consumed as a meal replacement or energy-giving snack. This drinkable sour porridge is best served chilled as a thirst quencher and a meal all in one. The specific manufacturing processes ensure a smoother, creamier drink that is also easy to mix. The addition of Vitamins assists in giving your immune system a boost as 1 litre of provides 100% of the Nutrient Reference Values for those vitamins for persons of 4 years and older.

Due to the utmost importance of the taste of the product, a lot of attention was directed at developing a product appetising to the traditional consumers of mageu. To appreciate the quality of AMAIZE® MAGEU its nutritional value as set out in the nutrition table below should be compared to that of competing products. AMAIZE® MAGEU is not only high in energy but also enriched with various vitamins. The vitamin mixture was specifically chosen to assist HIV-positive patients in recovering from illnesses and to help them cope with antiretroviral drugs. These vitamins assist in building the immune system and in distributing energy in the body.

AMAIZE® MAGEU is available in a wide variety of refreshing flavours – Banana, Cream, Pineapple, Regular and Strawberry and can also be used to make a delicious porridge or milkshake. To make a porridge just mix some milk or water (hot or cold) with some of the powder in the sachet or tub, a little at a time, until the desired consistency is achieved.

AMAIZE® INSTANT PORRIDGE a breakfast dish of milled white maize enjoyed across demographics in South Africa. It is a nutritious quick and convenient meal without a compromise on nutrition and taste. AMAIZE® INSTANT PORRIDGE powder needs no cooking, it is smooth, creamy and ready to eat in minutes by just adding water. Milk, sugar, salt and 12 Vitamins already added.

AMAIZE® INSTANT PORRIDGE is also packed full of essential vitamins and minerals like Vitamins B, E and fibre, which help maintain a healthy bowel. Our porridge can also be enjoyed as an ‘any-time-of-the-day’ snack by increasing the amount of water, which makes an excellent filling smoothie.

AMAIZE® DRINK ON THE GO™ is a nutritious high energy drink developed by Powerforce Products® to be enjoyed when you are on the go. With years of experience in the successful development of nutritious high energy food and beverages, Powerforce Products® concentrated on the taste of the product as the most important part of the quest for the new product. Simply add water, shake and enjoy! Powder Milk already added.

Currently the product is packed in a net weight of 120g sachet (makes 600ml) and 600g Tub (makes 3 litres). AMAIZE® DRINK ON THE GO™ is supplied as a powder mix in high quality, air tight and non transparent packaging. Milk already added, just add cold water and shake.
